The high quality thermoplastic material is very well tolerated and stimulates chewing. Contact with the horse's mouth is fine-tuned and thus promotes the horse's contentment and readiness to perform. The rings are in stainless steel, likewise the internal steel cores in the bit. Make sure that the bit is in the correct position so that it cannot be damaged by biting.

Very comfortable bit. Completely changed the way my horse rides.

This is the second equimouth flexi bit that I purchase. The plastic piece does wear out after a year (used consistently 4 days per week) with chew marks and pressure on the metal cheek pieces but I love it so much that I bought exactly the same one.
