This is a beautiful English-made Albion Platinum Ultima dressage saddle, and it's one of Albion's most popular models for good reason. It's built for the horse that's hard to fit: big warmbloods and similar types with broad, flat backs, broad shoulders, and a decent wither.

It's in excellent condition, with only minor wear.

The tree has a wide angle but still keeps an open headplate, so you get room for the shoulders without sacrificing wither clearance. It's stamped 315, which is Albion's Medium-Wide, but it will fit wider than the stamp suggests. Add in the generous channel for spinal clearance and full front gussets supporting the front of the saddle, and you've got a saddle that sits well on a lot of horses that struggle with standard fits.

For the rider, the deep seat and large knee blocks under moulded knee pads give you a secure, close-contact leg. The high, well cut-back pommel suits a range of wither heights, and the broad panels spread your weight nicely across the horse's back.

Albion didn't cut corners on materials either. The flaps are specially tanned full grain Ultima leather, and the seat and pads are the best Italian calf skin.
