Brand new, never worn, and still in the original box. 

These came in on consignment, and they’re the current Donatello III, Tredstep’s newest version of their popular tall boot.

A dress boot has a smooth, clean front with no laces at the ankle, which gives you that long, elegant line you see in the dressage ring. They’re just as comfortable for everyday schooling, though. The Donatello III is made from full-grain leather with a full leather lining, and it has a stretch panel that helps the boot move with your ankle so you can get your heel down without fighting it.

It has a Spanish top, which means the outside of the boot rises a bit higher than the inside. That helps lengthen the look of your leg in the saddle. A YKK zipper runs up the back, and the elastic closure at the top keeps the fit comfortable. Inside, there’s a Coolmax-lined insole for long days. The rubber sole grips well in the stirrup, and there’s a spur rest to keep your spurs sitting where they should.

To check fit, measure around the widest part of your calf and from the floor to the back of your knee while wearing breeches and riding socks. New leather boots usually drop a little as they break in, so a boot that feels a touch tall at first is often just right after a few rides.
