This one's a great option if your horse has a shorter mouth and normal to fleshy lips — the kind of horse who's never quite comfortable in a standard single-jointed snaffle. The 14mm mouthpiece is on the thinner side, which a lot of owners find their horses actually prefer once they're used to it.

What makes the Turnado different is the joint — it's angled forward 45 degrees instead of sitting straight across. That spreads pressure out more evenly across the tongue instead of concentrating it right at the joint, so you don't get that pinching feeling some horses object to. There's also a small forward-flared port built in, which is especially helpful if your horse likes to fuss with their tongue or pull it up and over the bit.
