The Haas Mähnenbürste (“mane brush” in German) has firm 3 cm bristles that go after dirt and grime anywhere on your horse: body, legs, mane and tail. Its narrow shape lets you reach the spots a bigger brush can’t, like around fetlocks, between the front legs and along the crest. It’s also easy to hold and work with if you have smaller hands.
On the coat, use it after the curry to flick away dirt and loose hair. On the mane and tail, pick out hay or shavings by hand first, work out any knots with your fingers or a bit of detangler, and then use the brush to smooth everything down without pulling out hair.
Like other Haas brushes, the bristles are set right into the body without nails or glue, so it’s built to last and can go wherever your grooming tote goes.
