These training ropes are soft and supple, and they have a nice weight to them. They’re handmade right here on Vancouver Island by Kaitlin’s Country Touch.
Yacht line is a braided rope that was first made for sailing. It holds its shape, resists kinking, and slides smoothly through your hands, so it’s comfortable to handle through a long session.
That weight makes a real difference in groundwork. It carries your cues down the rope to your horse, so small movements of your hand are easier for them to feel. It also keeps the rope from flapping around or tangling at your feet. Most people who do a lot of groundwork end up with one of these in their kit.
